Book Sale at the Canton Public Library

On Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8, The Friends of the Canton Public Library will hold their annual Book Sale at the Canton Public Library / Canton Community Center.  Hours on Saturday are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a $10 donation for the Early Sale from 8:00 to 9:30.  On Sunday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, readers will be able to fill a bag with books of their choice for $6.00.

The annual book sale, which is the major fund-raising event for The Friends, is a chance for bibliophiles to pore over the selection of books for both children, teens, and adults, with CD’s, and DVD’s, along with coffee table books, and older books of interest to collectors.

The sale features both hardbound and paperback titles, the classics and the newest releases, and a huge offering of children’s books sorted by reading level.  Perennially popular authors such as James Patterson, John Grisham, Patricia Cornwell, Clive Cussler, Sara Paretzky, David Baldacci, John Sandford, and Janet Evanovich are frequently represented.  The book sale is an economical way to add cookbooks and gardening books to one’s collection.  Patrons looking for the latest hot titles may find themselves lucky if they arrive early!
