My name is Madison Siebers and I'm a sophomore at Canton High School. This summer I have been given the oppurtunity to go on a two week humanitarian trip to the Dominican Republic. From June 20th to July 5th, I will be one of the volunteers helping to build two classrooms and a bathroom for a school facility in Santo Domingo. Without our help, the community would be unable to build a better school. I am going through a program called HEFY, which organizes service expeditions for youth. You can visit this organization's website at www.hefy.org and learn more about the program.
The cost to send one volunteer on this 16-day expedition to the Dominican Republic is $1,995, which will include travel, food, lodging, and building materials. So far, I have raised $500. If you feel like this is a worthwhile endevor, please consider making a donation directly to HEFY in my name. The average cost of a bag of cement is $8.00. A donation as small as this would build the walls and roof over a Dominican child so that they can pursue an education and make a better life for themselves. Any amount would be appreciated and every donation would make a difference.
To make a donation, you can go online to www.hefy.org/donate and enter my name, Madison Siebers, in the "Name of Fundraiser" field.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at minimadis@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for donating!
Sincerely,
Madison Siebers
