The performance begins around 9:30 p.m.

Canton High School's Music Program Presents "Prisms"

"Prisms," an annual concert organized by Canton High School music students, will be held Saturday night at the high school at 7:30 p.m. According to a press release, "this year's theme is a show about shows...throughout the ages!" The evening's program features performers from the school's myriad music and theater ensembles.

Tickets, which are available at the door, are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.

Crown & Hammer Pub & Restaurant

The Crown & Hammer's free weekend entertainment, which starts around 9:30 p.m. features Jim Paradis tonight, Friday, and the albinoTree on Saturday.

The restaurant just announced its new "senior discount" for Thursday and Friday lunches, offering 10 percent off lunch menu items from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Sunday, gather with neighbors and friends at the Crown for the Super Bowl. Specials include $1-off appetizers and 75-cent wings at the bar. Drink specials include "Giants Big Blue" and "Patriots Punch" for $6; Bud, Bud Light and Coors Light bottles for $3; and $1-off draft beers during the second half of the game. Management says they will stay open beyond their normal Sunday hours to accomodate the game.

Because the football season is coming to a close, the restaurant has announced new hours, which go into effect this week. Now closed on Mondays, the Crown will open Tuesday evenings, launching "Mexican Tuesdays" with $1.50 tacos, $2 Corona bottles and other Mexican specials. The Pub Menu will also be available.

The new regular hours at the Crown & Hammer are:

  • Wednesday: 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Thursday: 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
