An accident — or possibly two — involving at least three vehicles tied up traffic on Route 44 near Stepping Stones Educational Center Saturday afternoon, officials said.

The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday. One person was transported to the hospital but initial reports indicated that there were no serious injuries, police said. 

Police and the town of Canton Volunteer Fire and EMS Department responded to the scene. The accident slowed traffic on Route 44 until shortly after 2 p.m. when the vehicles had been towed and firefighters had cleaned some radiator fluid in the roadway.
